Bone Marrow Appeal

Open Letter from SnowBrum 2000

In the course of the last four years we have written to many organisations and individuals explaining that we are raising money for a number of essential and much-appreciated organisations.

SnowBrum is now in its fifth year as a fund-raising organisation with the intention of raising as much money as possible to support the splendid care services which are provided through these reputable charities by walking from Mount Snowdon to Centenary Square in Birmingham.

SnowBrum is a close-knit organisation and the charities have been selected because they have in one way or another touched the lives of the team because of the support they have offered to close friends and relatives.

With the support of all involved SnowBrum has, to date, raised the extraordinary sum of:

£54,000

With the encouragement of supporters, the team has decided to undertake a range of activities in the coming year. SnowBrum 2000 will be undertaking the same walk in the Summer as well as entering the London Marathon and many other activities and events. The proceeds will be donated to Leukaemia Care, The Anthony Nolan Bone Marrow Trust and St. Mary's Hospice, Birmingham.

As a charity organisation, SnowBrum 2000 attempts to raise as much money as possible without deducting anything for expenses or paid officials. We will be grateful for any donation you care to make, small or large, whether it be financial or physical goods. We are confident we can rely on you for your continuing generosity and look forward to hearing from you. Contact details are provided at the bottom of this page.

The Anthony Nolan Research Centre manages the world's first and largest register of potential bone marrow donors with 135,000 volunteers. This register is used to match donors to victims of bone marrow diseases such as leukaemia, aplastic anaemia and immune deficiency syndromes. The Trust provides a potentially life-saving register to help many thousands of people. Leukaemia Care provides support for Leukaemia victims and their families and finances research into the causes and potential cures for this form of cancer. SNOWBRUM 2000 will attempt to raise as much money as possible for these worthwhile organisations.
